The crust had a nice hearty texture from the whole grain, and the mutsu apple filling wasn't overly sweet. My family finished the whole pie in one sitting, which says a lot.

Brought this to Thanksgiving and the whole grain crust held up way better than the flaky kind I usually make. The mutsu apples kept a little bite instead of turning to mush. Not overly sweet either, which I appreciated.
