The caramelized crust shattered perfectly, and the inside stayed buttery and flaky right until the last bite. I grabbed some for a Mother’s Day brunch and they disappeared faster than anything else on the table. Definitely worth the splurge for a special occasion.

Picked up a few of these for Easter brunch and they disappeared in minutes — the caramelized crust had that perfect crackly chew, exactly what you'd want from a bakery-style pastry. Even the leftovers next morning were still pleasantly flaky.

The layers were crisp and buttery just like the bakery version, though I wish the caramelization had been a bit deeper for my taste. It made a nice centerpiece for our Mother's Day brunch.
